The Forum is back on PHPBB3
by TheGrandPubaa on Mar.06, 2008, under Podcast
Vanilla, in retrospect, wasn’t such a hot choice for a new forum. So now we’re back on PHPBB, this time running the long awaited version 3. I gotta say, I like it so far. Clean, simple, nice options, and it came with a nifty converter to import all the old data from our previous phpbb2 install. Very nice. So now the forum is back, more or less as it was in August 2006. The Vanilla forum is still online, of course, but it will undoubtedly be pulled eventually..

Go ahead, check it out, post, tell your friends, spread the word. Let’s rebuild the community like it once was, okay?

Snake’s Silent Introduction
by Snake on Mar.01, 2008, under Chaotic Miscellaney
Heya Folks I’m snake new to posting here on the site, but, not new at all to the forums
I’ll be here as site maintainer\poster\staff member and i’ll be hanging around and goofing off with the rest of the VGT Staff….
OK, here’s the news
Issue one, Me and ricky are guna give VGT a facelift and a tottally new razzy RAWR Campaign in hopes to raise money for our projects mine music his the PS3 but hopefully we can raise enough money to review stuff for you folks and give you our honest expert opinion on what’s hot and what’s not
yup with rick’s approval of course we might even merge our two sites , Frag-Artists and VGT with who know’s what uber kewl and down right groovy name
because mine was a general over all cover all computing site that was going to include gaming tips and strategies but only got to cover computing news but soon if we decide not to merge, expect FA to cover awesome stuff like computer optimization tips such as tweaking and registry hacking like for instance explaining how to get a 1.5 mbps cable connection to buzz along to a speed at least 3.5 or maybe seven at the best or how to choose the best hardware\ software setup for the tasks you do most
Yea, Lots LOTS TO COME!!!

Suggestions for Revenue Streams.
by TheGrandPubaa on Mar.01, 2008, under Ricky Coulter is a Death Metal Caveman!
Trust me here, i’m all ears! If you know of any ways to increase revenue on this blog, by all means, tell me! I’m looking into SEO as well as CPAs and any other money-making acronyms.
I do want to use this blog to share my opinions, review products, maybe even give advice, but I seriously need to set up a reliable revenue stream. I mean, if I can get this blog making five dollars a day, at that point, it’s paying for itself as well as my dinner! Something I highly enjoy having more than two nights a week.
Looking for contributors!

If you want to write for free, this is your blog! I can’t promise any compensation, at least not at this point, but you could certainly benefit from name recognition and you can develop your posting skill over time here. Something to think about. Shoot me an email at thegrandpubaa at vgtheory dot com.
Filler is tough.

Yeah, you really need to have a solid idea of what you’re going to write about before you embark on an arduous journey through the silicon world, lest you end up like me and find yourself wondering what to write about. It’s a tad annoying, let me just say. I’m sure I have plenty to say, but unfortunately, finding something specific to focus on is sometimes a little tricky. Not a naturally tenable position for a writer to be in, understand?
The PSP.
by TheGrandPubaa on Mar.01, 2008, under Ricky Coulter is a Death Metal Caveman!
So, I know the podcast kind of held an almost anti-PSP sentiment for a while, but in all honest, I have found the device to be really sweet with a custom firmware. It enables the user so many features Sony would normally withhold. Like running backups, yeah, but also homebrew. Have you ever played full speed Sonic CD on a PSP? I have. It’s frickin great!
So has anybody else given the ‘PuSP’ a second glance? For that matter, does anyone here know what a Pandora battery is?

Sonic 1 Megamix
by TheGrandPubaa on Mar.01, 2008, under Ricky Coulter is a Death Metal Caveman!
Any of you heard of this one? It’s an extensive hack of Sonic 1 for the Sega Genesis. Really a sight to see. It allows you to play as one of three characters in the old levels as well as a completely different set of zones. The game features music from a whole bunch of different Genesis titles, all of them sounding good as always.
I’ll see if I can dig up a picture and i’ll post it(and a link) for your perusal.
