Episode 002 is Live.

Episode 002

Another episode recorded in the San Francisco Bread Company coffee house. The sound quality is basically par for the course. Again, this will change when we get better sound equipment, but it’s not bad, all things considered.

Episode 001(real) is Live

Video Game Theory- Episode 001(real). We returned once again to the San Francisco Bread Company in Hot Springs, Arkansas, and recorded a full-length episode. There are a couple of noise issues, but overall, the extraneous background noise is more subtle than last week. Again, it’ll have to do until we get more sophisticated equipment.

Video Game Theory Test Run is Live

Video Game Theory Test Episode. The reason it’s only 14 minutes is that Josh had to work today with no prior knowledge. Also missing this week was Kara Sanders, who had prior engagements. Next week’s episode will be a full length podcast(we’re thinking around 30 minutes) and we will be decidedly more prepared. The audio quality is going to be an ongoing issue until we can afford better equipment. I think it’s just fine for a recording in a coffee shop. By the way, we want to thank the San Francisco Bread Company(in Hot Springs, AR) for the couches. Actually, they had no knowledge of our recording, so we’re not really thanking them for anything.

    Podcast Info

I spent about an hour setting up a few things, although the majority of that time was spent writing the Podcast Info page. I think it looks appropriately professional, don’t you agree? Also, from this point on, all mail regarding the Podcast should be sent to podcast@vgtheory.com. The forums would also be an appropriate place to post comments or suggestions. Remember, we’re always taking submissions for news or appropriate information.

We plan on recording the Podcast tomorrow, and I will spend some time editing it before I submit the feed to iTunes on Friday. The iTunes listing could take up to a week to register, so for now, you can get the show directly from the RSS feed:

    The Madness Begins Thursday…

That’s right, this thursday the demented souls who helped me found the many incarnations of the VG Theory domain will be drawn together once again. This will mark the return of Enoob(Josh Boone), Karika(Kara Sanders), and king_of_hearts(Dillon Bray), along with myself as TheGrandPubaa(Ricky Coulter). No, this is not roleplay, nor is it radio drama. It will be real people discussing a much favored pastime, and it’s medium will be the Podcast. Video Game Theory is back.

Granted, we’re virtually unknown, but with the help of iTunes and many contacts throughout the net, perhaps we will be able to make a dent in the alluminum siding known as the internet, and perhaps our little dent will be appreciated down the line. You may not know we exist now, but if fate is in our corner, you’ll never forget us once we get started. Prepare yourself for the coming madness…

Ricky Coulter is most often found on Facebook, evil den of mass dementia that it is. Most of his content is set to 'Friends Only' at the moment, so feel free to send him a friend request - just be verbose and descriptive as to who you are, how you found him, and why you want to be friends, as he is a paranoid caveman and thus does not trust complete strangers.
